Some time ago I decided to teach pulse diagnosis at the Compleo school TCM in Katowice. While I was preparing for the course, I realized that there would be two major problems trying to convey this information. One of them is related to nomenclature and the students unfamiliarity with the Chinese characters in the point location names and the second is simply the fact that it is difficult for students to memorize 28 pulse descriptions. Realizing this created a desire in me to teach the pulse in such that each and every student would come away with a thorough understanding of the basic pulse qualities.
After some searching, I realized that I could portray the Chinese characters as symbolic cartoon-like pictures that resemble the basic characteristics of each pulse. This booklet was created to help students and practitioners alike understand, with ease, the pulse poster that I created.
